Mid-century cocktail bar glass silver fade set of 11. Includes (1) caddy, (4) mold-blown weighted base tumblers, (4) coasters, (1) tri-corner snack bowl, (1) ruffled plate liner.

This mod glassware set was made in the 1950’s, in the day when every home had a cocktail hour. It’s called Vitreon Queen’s Lusterware. Designed by famous cocktail glassware designer of the era, Sidney Sigety from New York.

Quality glass, functional design. The mold blown tumblers have a ¾” weighted base to prevent tipping.  Tumblers weigh ½ lb and stand a bit over 5½” tall. The ruffled liner is 7″ round. The tri-corner bowl measures 5¾” from corner to corner and is 2½” deep.

All in very good to excellent condition. Three of the four tumblers are perfect. One has very slight wear to the silver fade lower border, about ½ way down towards the base. The chrome caddy is in excellent condition. The coasters are in excellent condition. The liner and bowl are in very good condition with minor unnoticeable wear to the silver luster. Not faded, but a couple of tiny bumps on the finish. Wear not visible to the non-discerning eye.

Hard to find, especially in such good condition. The set looks new and unused until examined closely to see the very minor wear on one tumbler, the bowl and liner.

Not dishwasher safe…they were made before the dishwasher was in common use. To clean the silver, rub it with a soft cloth. Water spots, tarnish etc. can be gently rubbed out.

Sold as a set.  The matching Vitreon Lusterware bowl and liner are stunningly beautiful and are perfect accompanying the cocktail set . The mid-century modern silvered glass is highly refractive. Reflects shadows of surrounding objects. The dark silver color looks like Platinum.
