Diamond Line Candlestick Holders by Blenko
Scarce block candlestick holders in the Diamond pattern. The ‘Diamond’ line was introduced by Blenko in 1980. Blenko part no.’s 802S & 802M. Blenko’s advertisment read “Multi-faceted in design and appearance. Diamonds is Blenko’s sparkling new line for 1980”. The pattern appears to be derived from the 1960’s waffle base ashtrays by Blenko.
Thick glass with deep pattern was molded in a clay or wooden mold. Rims and candle insert were heat finished. Made by hand. Small holder measures 2.5″ tall, larger holder measures 5″ tall.
