Hand-formed art glass mushroom weighs 3½ pounds.
This hefty art glass mushroom was probably made in the Scandinavian region, ie. Sweden or Finland. Circa 1970’s.
Formed by hand with solid colorless quality glass sporting green ‘ink spots’ accomplished by adding small amounts of colored molten glass before forming.
Image no. 5 illustrates the high clarity and reflective qualities of the glass. The mushroom took on the giant Lucite grape reflection.
Measures 6″ at widest, 4″ tall, weighs a whopping 3½ lbs. Two trapped in bubbles inside stem (see images), common in hand made glass. Has a chigger on the cap, it’s very small and hard to see. A few light scratches found on the cap edges, also hard to see unless inspected closely. Priced accordingly.
