Early Fenton Art Glass Cranberry Pink Melon Rib Vase

In great condition. Beautiful pink glass recipe is made with real gold. No chips, cracks or dings. Has very slight calcium lacing in hard to clean grooves that can only be seen when held to light. Big vase is 8" tall, 6" at widest. Genuine mid 20th century quality vintage glass, circa 1943-1949.  Fenton has reproduced this shape in the last 10 years.  Large difference in amount of gold used to get the pink color.  The more gold, the darker the pink.  Modern Fenton cranberry is light pink and light-weight glass. Vintage Fenton is dark pink with heavier, quality glass like this vase. Hand-made. Blown into mold, then hand-tooled on the ruffles. Melon Shaped with diamond optic pattern on the body.
