  • SOLD Mid-century authentic retro American Tourister hard-shell, lap-top size, attache case.  Circa 1950 - 1960.
  • In wonderful condition.  Rarely, if ever, used.  The only sign of age is on the elastic strap that held the file compartments up.  This strap has lost it's elasticity and is basically useless.  It can be cut to shorten and re-sewn, or removed.  The file holders can be held back with velcro.
  • Featuring a patented dual-level locking system which requires the tabs to be swung up after unlocking before the case will open.  Those who don't know this have a hard time figuring how to open it.  Like us. We thought it was locked. The original key was not found with the case.  Only by trying to 'pick' the lock, did we discover the tabs had to be rotated up before the briefcase would open.  So, although it does not have its original key, there is still a level of security.
  • Made of a very durable hard-shell textured faux leather with top-of-the-line hardware.  Made in the good old USA.  Virtually undestructible.
  • Perfect size for lap-tops.  The sagging strap can be adapted to secure a laptop. Images 4 & 5 have a normal-size covered laptop inside.  Very slim, only 3" thick. Case measures 18" wide, 13" tall.  Has four little feet on the base that keep it raised above the surface.  Great color.
