Haight Ashbury Era Gumps of San Francisco Glass Canister

Funky handblown mid-century modern canister.  Imported from Italy by Gumps of San Francisco back in the days of Haight-Ashbury (late 1960s, early 1970s). Stands 6" tall on a 4" wide base.  Lid and inner neck are ground to fit creating an airtight fit. Blown with smoked black/grey glass.  It was hand-blown from a mold, no seams. Base is slightly inverted.  Very light bottom-wear.  In excellent condition. Medium weight, sturdy glass.  Weighs 1 lb. This beautiful canister from our ultra-mod past makes a decorative kitchen or bar area canister.  The original sticker from Gumps is still attached.  The color has faded off.  An unfaded sticker found on a bucket is shown in image 4.
