Blenko's Husted Antiqua vase for Stelvia Italy

SOLD Hard to find design by Wayne Husted of Blenko for Stelvia, Italy.

Bears a "Colony - Made in Italy" glass label.

Designed by Blenko's most famous designer Wayne Husted. Husted created the Antiqua design for the Stelvia glass house in the 1960s.  I believe Colony was a retailer or importer.

Big beautiful vase is perfect for draping tall garden flowers.  The spout-like rim allows for easy water replacement.  The vase can be used as a jug also.

Made with thick blown from mold glass in glowing amber.  The decor is raised from the surface.  Pontil mark on the base. Glitters like crazy in the light (image 8).

Measures 8.5" tall, 8" at widest and 3" thick.  In excellent condition. Made in the 1960s. Large peacock blue decanter shown in image 4 is available separately.
