SOLD Elegant and scarce beauty from the 1940s.

Beautiful ruby red glass vase by Duncan Miller.  Made in the infamous Canterbury no. 115 pattern, patented by Duncan Miller in 1939.
This vase was called the "Flower Arranger Vase".  The hand pinched and folded rims provide for easy floral arranging.
This lovely scarce example is in fabulous condition.  It is unusual to see this vase without chiggers on the sharp edge of the base.  This well-cared for piece has no chiggers...and it's ruby red, Duncan's most elusive color.
The vase has bottom-wear.  This is expected on heavy old glass.  Bottom-wear is an accumulation of tiny scratches encircling the rim of the base. It is caused by the base of the vase rubbing against the surface it was sitting on for years and years.
Measures 5.5" tall, 7" at widest and weighs 2 lbs.  Glass is superb quality.  No inclusions.   Makes a nice candleholder too. Shown in image one with a large 3.5" wide pillar candle,. Shown in image #4 with a large 1970s big-eye figurine...just for laughs for those of you who remember that craze.
