Big angry charging bull art glass figurine

 ON SALE Large vintage Murano art glass bull...ready to rumble.

Big hand-blown / hand-tooled mean green bull was made in Italy in 1940s-1950s.

Weighs 3 lbs.  Measures 11" long and 6.5" tall.

The body and head are blown hollow.  The tail, legs, horns, eyes, neck and head ruffle, and "private" parts were hand-worked and applied.

There are no chips or cracks and all parts are present.  There is a bit of condensation inside the main body.  This was caused by the maker when air was trapped inside the body during application of the other parts.  Air carries a minuscule amount of moisture.  Over the years, the trapped moisture condenses and leaves a fine translucent white film.  It is light, hard to see, and does not show up in the images.

Image #4 shows a trapped air bubble within the glass wall and a "straw mark".  The straw mark looks like a crack in the image, but it is not. Straw marks are left during the cooling process and are simple lines on the glass, not cracks. Trapped air bubbles (within the glass walls) were captured during the blowing process and are common in vintage blown glass.
