Ariel blown glass wall pocket vase

Stunning blistered art glass hanging wall pocket vase.

Large hand-blown colorless glass with stylized blisters measures 16.25" tall.

Hangs from the wall, see image 5.  Beautiful with flowers, grasses, fruits or herbs.

The blisters were accomplished with the "Ariel" technique. Öhrström or Lindberg of Orrefors (Sweden) are credited with the development of 'Ariel' glass in 1937. It is a difficult decor to achieve.

Tiffin glass in the USA, among others (like Steuben) , produced the Ariel decor in responce to the Sweden Modern craze of the mid 20th century.  This wall vase is unmarked.  Age and maker uncertain.

It is fine art glass, made by a skilled artist.  Glass is thick and crystal clear.  Weighs 2 lbs.  In excellent condition.
