Art Deco leaping gazelle etched glass fan vase

Large 1920s fan vase with a deep deco gazelle etch.

Beautiful big vase in hand-blown thick crystal from the Art Deco era.

Decorated with a etched deer/gazelle leaping through flowering foliage.  Classic art deco styling.  The etching is deep and dimensional.

Heavy vase weighs 3.75 lbs.  Measures 8.5" tall and 7.5" wide.  Maker unknown.  Perhaps French or Scandinavian.  High quality.

In excellent condition.  The center of the base is slightly inverted allowing the vase to rest on the outer edges.  This is a quality feature designed to minimize bottom-wear.  Bottom-wear is caused by years of surface contact and is more visible in colorless glass.  By resting on the very edges of the base, the vase avoids visible bottom-wear scratches.
