Battuto cut hand blown cased glass tower vase

Stunning retro orange hand-blown sommerso glass with hand-cut decor.

This vase is gorgeous. Tapering 14" tower of thick quality glass. Weighs 2 lbs.  Hand-blown and cold cut. 
Made with luminous bright carrot orange glass blown with colorless glass (sommerso).  The glass is quality and heavy.  The exterior was hand carved in wide horizontal cuts in the Battuto or Martele fashion.  Battuto (or Battuti) means "struck" in Italian. Martelé literally  means "hammered" in French. The word in Italian is "martellato".
This may be a vintage Italian object.  Italian masters like Tobia and Carlo Scarpa of Venini and pre 1960 Galliano Ferro, among others, created forms in Battuto. Scandinavian countries, like Denmark and Sweden (Orrefors) made art glass with Battuto decor in the mid 20th century also.  Incised glass in the Battuto fashion is made again today in the Pacific Northwest, U.S.A. by new era studio glass artists who study under great masters like Lino Tagliapietra and Fritz Dreisbach.  It is hard to say when, where and who made this vase. It is of exceptional quality. The bright orange color points to the 1960s - 1970s..
There is one more clue on the seat of the vase.  A shadow remains of the original label.  It is impossible to read, but the shape of the label, and the square located inside the label, could lead to the maker's identity.
