SOLD Mid-Century Organic fish dish from Kosta Glassworks, Sweden

Signed with hand etched Kosta LP1343. The four digit number dates it to the late 1950s.  In Excellent condition with medium bottom-wear (expected). No chips, No cracks, No liquid stain.
Designed in 1958 by Vicke Lindstrand (1904-1983). Lindstrand was the Artistic Director with Kosta between 1950 and 1972. Before Kosta, he worked with Orrefors and the Upsala-Ekeby ceramics company.
This awesome solid lead crystal dish is decorated with precise, 3-level intentional bubbles. The bubbles are 3 dimensional, placed in different depths throughout the glass. It is a wonderful effect, very, very hard to do.
This Scandinavian fish was hand-formed with heavy, excellent quality lead crystal.  It is 8.75" long, 3.5" at widest, 2.5" at tall, and weighs 1.75 lbs. Great for service, candles, catch-all, incense, looks stunning with flowers.
Beautiful upscale art glass made during the Swedish Modern and Organic decor crazes of the mid 20th century.
