This set of Houze Art holiday tumblers were sold by Sears in their 1980 catalog, as stated in the sales literature found inside the box.
The double rock sized glasses appear unused. The gold rim has some bits of wear directly on the top ridge, caused by rubbing against the box top while in storage. The box is in very worn condition. The green and red enamel decor is in original condition. Apparently, they have been in a stored state for almost 30 years.
The sales lit lists the part numbers and prices for all the glasware items of the line. This set of "old fashioned" glasses sold for 8.99 in 1980. They are advertised to be "Dishwasher Safe" and non-toxic.
Each is signed "Houze", see image 4. The message is "Season's Greetings".
Well-made with weighted bases for stability. Measure 4.25" with a 3.25" wide mouth. Each weigh just under 1 lb. Blown from a mold with swirled pontil mark.
