Sklo Union Glass Candlewax Vase by Frantisek Peceny

Big and Beautiful thick colorless glass cylinder vase from Sklo Union glassworks.

From Mid 20th Century Czechoslovakia. Designed by Frantisek Peceny for Hermanova Hut and dating from the late 1960's

Called the 'candlewax' design with a pattern of small knobs and trails .

The base is a concave well called a  'birdbath' base. Glass is brilliant and clean, In excellent condition.

Big, thick heavy glass. Weighs 3 lbs. Measures 9" tall, 3.25" wide mouth.

The Sklo Union formed in 1965, consisting of a group of Czech glass makers.  The Sklo Union designs were modernistic, awesome retro decor for today.
