Big Murano art glass big bowl Salviati 1950s

Large handblown mid-century Italian art glass bowl.

Fruit bowl sized, heavy glass free-form bowl in excellent condition.  Probably Made by Archimede Seguso or Salviati, both famous Italian/Murano artists of the 1950s. Both glass artists come from a long line of Italian glassmakers.  Read more about vintage Italian glass.  The applied solid colorless wafer base of the bowl points to Salviati.  The veiled gold adventurine points back to Seguso. Specks of gold aventurine are veiled throughout bowl. Symmetrical intentional bubbles. Very scarce due to large size.  Measures 10.5" long, 7.5" wide, 4.5" tall and weighs 4.2 lbs. Sits on a solid clear glass .5" tall, 4.5" wide round base. Polished, concave pontil mark. Medium bottom-wear. Exceptional. Sits next to an 8" long leaf bowl in images 5 & 6 to help show size.
