Scarce Blenko Art Glass Decanter by Joel Myers
Blenko Art Glass oversized decanter bottle with original stopper. Original Blenko catalog number 6533. The catalog part number tells us this beautiful huge decanter was the 33rd design of 1965. It was designed by Joel Myers and produced for only two years. Scarce item.
Measures 17½” tall, ” at 10″widest with the widest girth at 29″. Weighs 6 lbs. Hand-blown glass. Contains numerous small trapped bubbles which Blenko is well-known for.
This is a large, beautiful retro decor focal point designer piece. It was not meant to hold your favorite booze. It is in a grass green color.
It is in excellent condition. Clean as a whistle, inside and out. The stopper is ground to fit, and original to the bottle. The stopper has an intentional large bubble inside. Stunning example of mid-century retro-modern art.
