Rudolf Jurnikl for Rosice Marguerites Box
Beautiful post modern art glass by a great Czech artist. Retro modern vintage glass cigarette or playing card box in Lalique style. Deeply carved floral decor on satin frosted heavy glass.
In excellent condition. Box corners are shaved at the edges, prevents chiggers on corners. Rare item. The ashtrays are a bit easier to find, but the box is very rare. Rudolf Jurnikl is a famous Czech modernist artist.
Measures 4.5″ long, 3.25″ wide and 1.75″ tall. Weighs 1.1 lbs. Beautiful glass box, great for all sorts of treasures. Designed by the master Rudolf Jurnikl and produced in 1973 by Rosice of the post war Sklo Union group. Rosice was formerly known as ‘S. Reich’ for a period of 42 years when it was operated within a closed, communist economic system.
