Darling retro vintage glass vanity puff jar from years gone by.

It’s hard to say whether this retro vintage glass vanity jar is Depression glass or 1950’s glass. The circus tent style was popular in from the early 1940’s to the late 1950’s.

The glass is clear with a fired-on bright moss green. The enamel decor was hand-painted and is raised from the surface like tole paint. Very dainty and adorable.

In amazingly good condition. Fired on colors were used before the widespread use of dishwashers. Dishwashers are a disaster to fire-on colors. This sweety hasn’t been abused in the dishwasher, and has been cleaned gently. The fired-on color is 98% present and the painted daisies are 100%. The very slight wear can be seen only when held to the light. No damage to the glass.

If American made, it may be an Anchor Hocking gay fad piece or perhaps by Hazel Atlas. No markings on the clear glass base. Measures 5″ at widest and 4″ tall. Powder puff size.
