Pilgrim Art Glass Hand Blown Emerald Green Scandia Decanter
A nice hand blown emerald green glass “Scandia” decanter made by Pilgrim Art Glass with soft pontil “raspberry” mark. Circa 1950’s-1960’s. This decanter was made during the Swedish style art glass craze in the mid-century. The hand blown stopper is not original (should be teardrop shape) but colors match exactly. It fits o.k. and the disc shape appears appropriate.
Pilgrim Art Glass was founded in 1949 in West Virginia, USA. During the mid-20th century they produced the range of popular hand blown decorative glass which was colorful, and/or large, and/or crackled.
The Scandia decanter is large. It measures 10″ tall, 6″ at widest point and weighs 3 lbs.
