Glass Paperweight with a Shimmering Flower
Lovely shimmering pink and white multi-stamen flower paperweight. Estimated circa 1900-1940.
The shimmer on the petals of the flower was done by causing thousands of micro bubbles to cover the pink surfaces. The little bubbles reflect the light. The glass paperweight is hand-formed with a shaved flat and polished base. There are 5 squares of green tint that were injected at the base of the flower to emulate foliage.
The paperweight weighs 3/4″ lb. It measures 2.5″ round.
